Infant Dental Exams

Drs. Bates and Frazer are passionate about children’s oral health; and therefore put a great emphasis on early examinations and education. We welcome infants as early as age one (1) as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics. We want to establish a relationship with the parents and provide guidance and education regarding early oral care.

Growth tracking

Monitor your baby’s oral development early to ensure healthy teeth and jaw growth.

Prevention focused

Identifying potential issues early to prevent future dental problems.

Parent guidance

Empowering parents with the knowledge and tools needed for successful care at home.

Importance of infant exams

Infant dental exams are crucial for detecting early signs of potential oral health issues and establishing a foundation for lifelong dental health. These exams help in understanding the unique needs of your child’s oral health and setting the stage for preventive care.

What happens during an exam?

We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. Parents are welcome in the treatment room. The dentist will gently inspect your baby’s mouth to assess the development of teeth and gums, check for any unusual signs, and guide you on proper oral care practices for your child.
